Meat

Random thought:

It's difficult to associate "hot" with "beautiful". Interestingly enough, it's not that difficult to associate "hot" with "ugly".

Beauty is something that is graceful, that endures age. It is associated with a certain purity, a being set apart from the ugliness of the world. Being couped up in the concrete jungle that is the city, we look at waterfalls, snow-capped mountains and vast plains and go, "Wow. That's beautiful."

Hot on the other hand, merely connotates a sexual or physical appeal (exactly why is anyone's guess -- perhaps it's something to do with the heat causing people to want to take off their clothes), rather like how a lion might view an impala -- as a piece of meat. Haha. 'Cause like meat, it doesn't exactly need to look beautiful for you to want to eat it. Besides, hot doesn't stay hot forever -- a steak left out in the open eventually turns cold. And when it does, would you still want to eat it?

Which of the two are we looking for?
